This article is an offshoot of Glasgow community action focusing on community resources and assets. Resources such as networks, events and community involvement (people and relationships) can be considered as primary resources. Also resources are the activism and physical assets (or what citizens value), such as green spaces and biodiversity, cycle lanes, food initiatives, etc, from the other Glasgow community pages.

Community resources[edit | edit source]

  • Govanhill Baths, community hub in the heart of Govanhill
  • Bowling Green Together, community space and group of local residents who actively work to create a vibrant community in the heart of Pollokshields. Video: The Bowling Green on youtube.com, links checked 18:07, 3 February 2024 (UTC)

Community energy[edit | edit source]

  • Glasgow Community Energy, community-owned renewable energy co-operative – a project developed by local people on a largely voluntary basis over the last six years. In 2020, during the coronavirus lockdown, Glasgow Community Energy successfully installed solar panels on the roofs of two schools in Glasgow.

Land activism[edit | edit source]

Community Ownership Hub, Glasgow and Clyde Valley, communityownership.scot, "We help communities purchase land and buildings, and promote land reform." A pilot project by Community Land Scotland.
