We've had technical problems, and no active help with this, so we're going to use the worse is better options: send out a notice via the MediaWiki email-all-users feature, plus setup an announcement-only list on Google Groups. It is planned to begin sending out newsletters about Appropedia.

Some early ideas follow. (We actually might just do a single newsletter type, to start with).

  1. One of the first newsletters (an initial priority) is the Appropedia Info Request Newsletter, sent to people who may be knowledgeable in development, sustainability and/or science and engineering, including those who are not regular contributors to Appropedia.
If we could get an article on economic methods of bringing internet access to remote areas, that would be awesome. --(david.reber left this but I can´t figure how to write a tilde character on this latin american keyboard)
  1. Later there might be a highlight of recent content (feel free to begin putting one together! E.g. at Appropedia Highlights Newsletter)

Note that you can edit draft newsletters without adding your name here. If you want to stay involved, adding your name lets us know who's available to help.

So, join the subcommittee. Consider adding your address, and/or turning on alerts in your preferences, so you see when a message is left on your talk page.
