* My name is Hanna Farson and I am a junior at Principia College. I am a French and History double major and I am taking ENGR 242. I am very interested in languages, I have been taking French since I was 5. I also took two years of German in High School and had introductions to Flemish and Hebrew in Elementary School. I have also joined Russian club at my college, since a class is not available. In the future I would like to continue using the languages I have learned, however, I have not yet decided in which capacity I would like to do that. | * My name is Hanna Farson and I am a junior at Principia College. - My name is Hanna Farson and I am a junior at Principia College.
- The Open Source Movement is a movement to freely share designs and allow people to build upon other designs. This allows information to be easily accessible. I really like this movement because it allows people to build upon other designs which results in extremely efficient products being available to everyone. At the beginning of this semester I built a Jellybox printer, many of the parts for Jellybox printers are openly available online meaning that I can print spare parts to have on hand if something breaks. I don't see myself continuing in STEM in the future, however, I'm sure there are ways that will be able to incorporate the concept of Open Source in my future once I figure out what I'm going to do.
