Connect a 12V power supply to the Microlog. Connect the PAR sensor to adny of the input channels - for the page, suppose the PAR sensor is connected to 02 input on Microlog as shown in figure below:

Start by pressing *1A on the Microlog. This takes you to the program table 1

Enter the time interval by pressing 1 (1 second) and then press A

Next, press 2 as it will take you to program 2 since we are measuring differential volts; then press A

Next I input the values for field 1 to 6 as per the manual

  • for 01 (Repetitions) - press 01,
  • for 02 (Range Code) - press 03,
  • for 03 (Channel number for first measurement) - press 2 (if you added the PAR sensor to second input),
  • for 04 (Input location for first measurement) - press 1
  • for 05 (Multiplier) - press 1
  • for 06 (Offset) - press 0

Finally, press *6A to read the values

The number on the screen of microlog is millivolts. Multiply it by 100 to ascertaine PAR readings in micromol/m2-s
