FAST Method for Accessing Enviromental Data from the ICFAR Weather Station
Step-by-step instructions to collect data from the Weather Station from ICFAR - German Solar Weather Station.

Accessing the Weather Station Web Interface
[edit | edit source]On-Site Access
[edit | edit source]To access the weather station webpage when on site at ICFAR, do the following:
- Step 1 - Connect to the FAST internet network: The network is accessible across the Field Station.
- Step 2 - Open a Browser
- Step 3 - Enter the IP address of the German Solar router
- Step 4 - Use the FAST Lab login for the platform to access the data
Remote Access
[edit | edit source]To access the weather station webpage remotely, do the following:
- Step 1 - Visit the downloading page of RustDesk
- Step 2 - Download and install the version suitable for your computer
- Step 3 - Launch RustDesk
- Step 4 - Enter the ID of the local FAST computer at the Field Station and connect using the password
You are now remotely connected to a local computer on the same network as the German Solar Router
- Step 5 - Open the browser on the remote computer and connect to the German Solar platform
