Welcome![edit]

Hi Woopwoop,

Welcome to the Appropedia wiki. Please make yourself at home! If you need a general wiki-tutorial, Wikieducator has some excellent ones.

Check your preferences and be sure you verify your email address and turn on email notification if you'd like it -- you can find out when your talk page, or any page on your watchlist, is modified. You may want to upload a photo or information about yourself to your userpage (which is at http://appropedia.org/User:Woopwoop).

If you have a particular interest or project in mind, go ahead and start it! If you have questions or suggestions, the best place to leave them is at the Village pump - you should get a fast response. Or, feel free to leave me a note on my talk page if you have further questions, need help finding your way around, have a cool idea for a project, or just want to chat.

Glad to have you here!

-Chriswaterguy

I'm glad you like the site, and it's great to have you here! Hope you enjoy your Engr114 Whole Earth Engineering course, and also your experience with Appropedia.

To put a picture on your userpage, see this tutorial. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask! --Chriswaterguy 23:34, 28 September 2008 (PDT)

Image permissions[edit]

Hi Woopwoop,

I've noticed how much work you've been doing here, and I'm looking forward to seeing the pages when they're ready.

We need to clarify permissions for images here on Appropedia. I see that your uploaded images don't have two bits of essential info:

Note that we have to have this info for every image on Appropedia, and can't allow images without clear permissions.

If you could try that for your next images, and let me know if anything is confusing, that would be really appreciated.

(Later we can look at your existing images - I can lend a hand with my bot to mass edit those pages, but I need to be certain of the source/license first.)

Thanks. --Chriswaterguy 17:21, 27 November 2011 (PST) Hi Chris, I dont understand how to make those edits. But all the photos I post, i have taken myself. Thank you for you comments. -Woopwoop

Templates to help format Easy to make fertilizer tea[edit]

Hi Woopwoop,

I noticed you've been busy showing lots of how-to projects, like Easy to make fertilizer tea. It looks like lots of great work going on there!  :-)

One thing I like to do at Appropedia is help figure out how to format lots of complex of information, especially with pictures. So...I made a copy of the page (already out of date ;) and added a few templates to see how it would look formatted with them. The templates are ({{How to}} {{Multicol}} and {{Gallery}}.

You can see a reformatted version of the fertilizer tea page at my sandbox. If you're interested in using something like this, there are lots of ways we could proceed. You could just copy this over to the live page and edit it from there, practice editing the sandbox to see how things could look, or edit the live page and have me follow your lead in the sanbox.

However you want to use these templates, or not, is fine with me. If you try them and like them, I'm also willing to help out with other pages until you get the hang of it to just do it yourself. ;-) Regards, RichardF 09:39, 30 November 2011 (PST)

Thank you so much for the suggestions Richard, I look forward to incorporating some of those formatting options. I might need some help. Thanks again -Hoon

Okay. There are lots of ways to go. You can see more examples at {{How to}} {{Multicol}} and {{Gallery}}. Just let me know if/when you want some help.  :-) --RichardF 16:42, 1 December 2011 (PST)
Hi, here's a sandbox update that arranges the pictures by each step. --RichardF 12:27, 3 December 2011 (PST)

Hey Richard I used your formatting from your Sand box, it works out really great. Thanks again for your interest and your help! -Hoon

Cool! Let me know if/when I can help again.  :-) --RichardF 16:45, 8 December 2011 (PST)
