Hi Tom! Some days ago, Kathy showed me an email she got from you, saying that you liked the 2021 impact stats and asking if it'd be possible to have them update continuously. I would very much like to do that! However, since a couple months now, we've started using Cloudflare to cache 70%+ of the requests, which means 70%+ of the requests never reach the server, and therefore, the page views stats for each page are getting outdated day by day. We need to solve this issue first. We've discussed it with Emilio and I think the best solution will be to develop something like Wikipedia's user stats but for Appropedia, that is, an external tool that gets stats from Google Analytics, which is the only updated source, and link it from Template:User data and Template:Page data. In your email you also mentioned that you'd be happy to contribute to the development of a solution. Perhaps we could set up a meeting to discuss it further? Cheers! @TomStanton Hi! First of all, sorry for the extremely late reply to your message. Good news! Finally, I was able to develop and deploy the necessary system I mentioned in my previous message. We now have Special:Analytics but more importantly we now have correct and up-to-date stats on each and every page on Appropedia. Now it's possible to re-do the yearly stats, and even have them continuously updated. I'll get to it very soon!!! Regarding your offer to support my work, I'm very thankful, but I guess since I already work for Appropedia, the best way to support me is to support Appropedia itself! Let me know your thoughts!
