I am an Environmental Resource Engineering student at Cal Poly Humboldt. My freshman year at HSU with my team P.I.E. through Design I helped construct a Pico Hydro Generator WaterPod Pico in a Bucket, based on work by Sam Redfield at AIDG, to supply a portion of the WaterPod exhibition's energy demands. The summer of 2010 I participated in Lonny Grafman's summer appropriate technology program in Chiapas, Mexico. With my team mates, Jessica Lamb User:Jessica.s.lamb, Matt Allan User:Mattallan and Rachel Rivera User:Rayrivera, I completed a microhydro feasibility study HSU Chiapas micro hydro feasibility study with the software RetScreen[1] for a small village on the outskirts of San Cristóbal de las Casas. The summer of 2011 I am acting as T.A. for Lonny Grafman's summer appropriate technology program in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. At the end of this program I will travel to the Ecuadorian Amazon to work with the Amazon Mycorenewal Project field testing mycoremediation techniques [2].

Hi MeghanHeintz,
Welcome to the Appropedia wiki. Please make yourself at home! If you need a general wiki-tutorial, see the main help page (or the more in-depth one on WikiEducator).
Check your preferences and be sure you verify your email address and turn on email notification if you'd like it -- you can find out when your talk page, or any page on your watchlist, is modified. You may want to upload a photo or information about yourself to your userpage (which is at https://www.appropedia.org/User:MeghanHeintz).
If you have a particular interest or project in mind, go ahead and start it! If you have questions or suggestions, the best place to leave them is at the Village pump - you should get a fast response. Or, feel free to leave me a note on my talk page if you have further questions, need help finding your way around, have a cool idea for a project, or just want to chat.
Glad to have you here!

Hi Meghan - did you manage to get in touch with Eghan? I see he has a registered email, because when I'm logged in and view User:Eghan, there's a E-mail this user link in the left navbar. Try that, and if you still have trouble, let me know. --Chriswaterguy 07:10, 25 January 2011 (PST)
Very clever! Thanks for this. -- Joshua 06:31, 9 March 2012 (PST)
Thanks Prof. Pearce! I loved the talk you gave at Humboldt State a while ago on the effect of snow on PV panels in Canada. :) --MeghanHeintz 23:15, 9 March 2012 (PST)
