Taking a Temperature Measurement[edit | edit source]

  • To ensure an accurate reading one must properly insulate the probe so that the probe only takes a measurement of the desire object's temperature
  • If the probe is not properly insulated, the probe will be measuring both the objects temperature and the air temperature
  • To properly insulate, one can cover with foam or a piece of metal depending on the temperature
