Bioregional cookbook

From Appropedia
Locally Delicious

A bioregional cookbook is a book that aims to re-localize a food system. By eating locally, people can make make a difference in their own health, the health of their community, their nation and the world at large.

Eating within your own region gives you better-tasting food, improves your nutrition and our local economy, and enriches the community. It reduces carbon footprint and reduces the pollution and disease generated by industrial agriculture. Some choices can also contribute to solving issues of hunger on a global basis.[1]
