12NA (Dozen) is a creative platform that engages in upcycling, circular economy, design, textile art and community projects. Works from Valparaíso, Chile.

12na (Dozen) is a project carried out by Mechi Martinez and Mariano Breccia. His work takes multiple formats, from the production of clothing and objects to the development of workshops and workshops, as well as audiovisual installations and products. Description

We are a design studio that works in super recycling, getting involved in circular economy, design, art and community projects. We work from Valparaíso, Chile.

12na (dozen) was born in 2004 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, by designer Mechi Martínez and creative Mariano Breccia. His work takes multiple formats, from the production of clothing and objects to the development of workshops, as well as installations and audiovisual products. Seeking to generate experiences that respond to comprehensive projects that link the material with spiritual recycling.

Our design is people-oriented, works by and for people looking for more than just the benefit of a product or service transaction. It is a design that reflects, informs and shares expressive upcycling practices. Our wardrobe proposal differs from other languages in its manufacturing, thanks to an innovative approach from upcycling, deconstruction and streetwear. Since 2004 we understand fashion in an uninhibited and colorful way.

Our pieces are made by hand in our Atalaya432 workshop in Valparaíso. Doceñada Clothing's style is oversized, unisex, colorful and daring, playing with mixtures of unusual materials, strong prints. They are always unique pieces with a visual code and playful humor.

Collaboration is our starting point, it is created from the premise of amplifying super-recycling in different expressive formats, such as the generation of a network of creators and subsequent content that leads for the reflection and delight of the viewer, user or observer.

Our projects are presented from the transmedial, the artisanal and the collective, generating a hybrid language of actions: products, objects, installations, films, documentary videos that build the history of a search focused on the cosmogonic, the intercultural, the contemporary and the recycled. We systematically reflect on the concept of author and open design code, the opening of a workshop space aims, in part, to clarify how to exercise the role of creator.
