Hi! I'm a 5th year undergraduate student with candidacy for a BESc in Integrated Engineering and a BSc in Physics at the University of Western Ontario, one of Canada's foremost research universities. I am joining the Free Appropriate Sustainability Technology research group for a second term to continue exploring spectral impact on plant health, as well as developing frugal hybrid aeroponic-hydroponic grow walls to reduce the capital cost of agrivoltaic vertical farming.

As an Integrated (Systems) Engineering and physics student, I have taken courses in a wide range of topics, from fundamentals of electrical, mechanical, chemical, and civil engineering to advanced courses in modern physics and interdisciplinary design.

My capstone project is to develop adaptive scheduling algorithms for lighting optimization to reduce prohibitive energy costs which affect vertical farms all over Canada.

My research experience includes a summer at the Biomechanical Engineering Research Lab with the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, where I contributed to developing a novel method to measure cortical bone strain on cadaveric specimens during surgical procedures.

I've also completed a summer at the Wearable Mechatronics Laboratory with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Western, where I developed a survey to guide assistive device design.

I am currently the president of WEBots, one of Western engineering's robotics clubs, which is a multidisciplinary project aiming to construct an autonomous humanoid robot.
