Mbogamboga ni aina ya mimea ambayo sehemu zake zinazolika zina zaidi ya 80% maji, lakini hii ni kweli kama ziko freshi ama kabla ya kufanyiwa jambo lingine lolote (processed).

Ulimaji wa mbogamboga unaweza kuwa na tija kubwa wakati wa kiangazi lakini pia katika wakati huu ulimaji wake ni mgumu.

Ulimaji wa mbogamboga unaweza kufanyika katika bustani, maboksi/makasha, vyungu na pia juu ya maji bila ya udongo (hydroponics)

Lishe katika mbogamboga[edit | edit source]

Katika mwili w binadamu mbogamboga ni muhimu kama chakula cha kulinda mwili inachojumuisha vitamini na madini kwa wingi. Kwa maana hiyo basi mlo kamili lazima ujumuishe mbogamboga na matunda.

Kadiri ya mbogamboga zinazohitajika katika mlo mmoja ni 45% ya ujazo wa chakula.

Mbogamboga zinaviwango vikubwa vya vitamini A, B, C, D, E na K. Vitamini hizi zote nio muhimu katika sehmu za mwili na upungufu wake utaleta madhara katika mwili.
