TissueDB/Tissues/Pancreas

From Appropedia

The pancreas is a retroperitoneal glandular organ located posterior to the stomach. In surgical simulation, the pancreas is relevant for abdominal exploration training where trainees must identify retroperitoneal structures during hemorrhage control. Accurate anatomical positioning of the pancreas relative to the splenic vessels, superior mesenteric artery, and duodenum is important for developing intraoperative orientation during exploratory laparotomy.
