TissueDB/Tissues/Inferior Vena Cava
The inferior vena cava is the large venous trunk that returns blood from the abdomen, pelvis, and lower extremities to the right atrium. It runs along the right side of the abdominal aorta and is a critical structure to identify and protect during pelvic and retroperitoneal surgical training.
