TissueDB/Tissues/Cremaster Muscle
The cremaster muscle is a thin layer of striated muscle derived from the internal oblique aponeurosis that envelops the spermatic cord and testis. Identification of the cremasteric layer is anatomically important during inguinal hernia repair to expose the spermatic cord structures.
