TissueDB/Materials/Gaffer Tape

From Appropedia

Gaffer Tape is a heavy-duty adhesive textile tape used in medical simulation to simulate membranous tissues. When layered over a substrate such as cellophane, gaffer tape provides puncture resistance that approximates the tactile sensation of penetrating serous membranes. In the Man-O-War Chest Tube Simulator, gaffer tape applied over cellophane paper simulates the parietal pleura, providing the characteristic "pop" felt when a chest tube penetrates the pleural membrane.[1]
