  • The amount of food waste should be minimized. Any food that nonetheless has gone bad, can be converted into biofuel to gain some extra revenue. [1] Alternatively, it can be composted or processed through a worm farm, or used as food for animals.
  • Minimizing food waste offers a financial advantage for any supermarket. Achieving this will take detailed attention to planning, logistics and contingencies.
