The Dr. Allan Greenberg & Dr. Ellen Junn Warrior Fab Lab at Stan State is intended to be a welcoming, open-ended makerspace, playground, incubator and innovative space, and learning community.

About

The Dr. Allan Greenberg & Dr. Ellen Junn Warrior Fab Lab fosters a cohesive learning community with greater equity in access to digital technology that has become widely available in national and international K-12 and higher education curriculums. With the increasing popularity, passively placing equipment in a room would elicit use from interested students and faculty to develop slowly over time. Instead, the Warrior Fab Lab is designed to provide a meaningful, active, and engaging environment with technology-driven tools, equipment, and processes with learning available to the entire campus community and region. The Fab Lab acts as a central hub for innovation, creative design, skills development, and other high-impact practices in this role. The culture behind makerspaces inherently supports Stan State’s strategic plan of “A Sense of Place, Inclusion, Transformation and Future" with the power of education and modern technology that promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, social justice, and community engagement while looking for solutions to solve regional and global challenges.
