About

The Making Rooms is in Blackburn Town Centre in a 3 story building consisting of a Fab Lab with commercial prototyping and short-run production capabilities; artists studios; workshop spaces; wet room and spray room; business lounge; gallery space; live performance area; and a cafe.

It is supported by Blackburn & Darwen Borough Council; the Lancashire LEP; and The Arts Council England and its objective is to make Blackburn & Darwen the Digital Making & Creative Hub for the North West of England.

The Making Rooms will engage with people of all ages and backgrounds, students, businesses, entrepreneurs, inventors, hobbyists and everyone in between.
