About

BioLab Lisboa is a Citizen Science laboratory aiming to implement an Open, Multidisciplinary Innovation Ecosystem, sponsored by the Lisbon city council and University. Started as a spinoff of the Lisbon FabLab. We have the tools necessary to cater from genomics to bioprinting. Our users range from students to artists, entrepreneurs, and citizens making their own projects. We have Open days, Calls, Workshops (from molecular cuisine to genomics, making biomaterials from food waste to microscopy hacking webcams or body data gathering and interaction - with sensors and actuators). We promote knowledge sharing between our users. We are currently participating in Fabricademy and were represented last summer in the FabCity Challenge (Bhutan FAB23) with CNR BioFablab, before we were giving a workshop with Zagreb Fablab on BioPlanet Summer Camp in Croatia
