Analysis of Development Situation of Sarvabad's Rural District
The primary objective of this research is to evaluate and measure human development indicators (HDI) in the rural districts of Sarvabad County, located in Kurdistan Province. This assessment is based on several key components, including access to:
- locations for purchasing daily necessities,
- educational, cultural, and sports facilities,
- religious facilities,
- political and administrative services,
- electricity, gas, and water infrastructure,
- health and medical services,
- commercial and service sectors, and
- telecommunications and communication systems.
The research adopts a descriptive–analytical method, with data gathered through library and documentary sources. The study employs the Rank-Size model to evaluate the degree of spatial balance between the distribution of services and population across the rural districts of Sarvabad County.
The findings show that, overall, there is a moderate spatial equilibrium between population distribution and service availability in the region. According to the Rank-Size model, the calculated R-value is 0.548, indicating a relatively balanced relationship.
However, the most significant disparities were observed in the Zhirizheh and Dezli rural districts, which show a notable mismatch between population size and the level of available services.
