Vegetarian social life

Being vegetarian or vegan can lead to specific challenges and opportunities.
Vegetarian groups and events
[edit | edit source]There are several activities where vegetarians can get to know one another. Vegetarian friends may meet for meals, including potlucks, barbecues, or outings to vegetarian-friendly restaurants. Some vegetarians participate in animal-rights activism. Community gardens and grocery co-ops are a good place to meet people who are conscientious about what they eat.
Others' attitudes toward vegetarianism
[edit | edit source]Meat-eaters sometimes have negative attitudes toward vegetarianism and those who practice it.
Infighting
[edit | edit source]Sometimes tensions occur between vegetarians, vegans, pescatarians, flexitarians, etc. how can we avoid these situations?
