Learning Modules Specialist at Appropedia Foundation

I'm a multimedia designer, copywriter and illustrator from El Salvador. For the past six years I've gained experience in diverse fields such as advertisement, journalism and activism. Prior to joining Appropedia, I spent three years as a cultural journalist and illustrator for Revista Factum, one of the leading online digital publications in my country.

As a freelance designer and creative writer I've worked with non-governmental organizations such as Fundación Silencio and Asociación Cultural Azoro. In 2018 I also taught a three-month course in Argumentation for high school students at Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado, as part of the Academias Sabatinas Experimentales (ASEx) program created by the salvadoran Ministry of Education.

What I do at Appropedia[edit | edit source]

I joined The Appropedia Foundation in 2021 as a Learning Modules Specialist. I'm involved in learning resources improvement, site editing and creative writing for both institutional and fundraising efforts. I also serve as an idea source for the Appropedia team and strive to be a content creation guide for current and future site contributors.

What I'm currently working on[edit | edit source]

  • I'm redesigning the main Help page layout and user journeys, so current and future contributors are able to navigate all learning resources intuitively and with ease.
  • I'm working in creative copywriting for The Appropedia Foundation website.
