TissueDB/Tissues/Pylorus
The pylorus is the muscular valve at the distal end of the stomach that controls gastric emptying into the duodenum. Simulation of pyloric tissue is relevant for training in pyloromyotomy, a procedure performed to treat infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis.
