TissueDB/Tissues/Mucosa
(Redirected from TissueDB/Tissues/Hard palate mucoperiosteum)
Mucosa is the innermost lining of hollow organs including the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, and reproductive system. It consists of an epithelial layer, lamina propria, and muscularis mucosae. In surgical simulation, mucosa is relevant for procedures involving bowel anastomosis, endoscopic techniques, and tubal surgery, where its texture, colour, and moisture content affect visual and tactile fidelity.
