Bladder neck is the tissue where a urinary catheter meets the resistance of the internal urethral sphincter as it passes, and where the catheter balloon seats once it is inflated.[1]

| Formlabs Grey Pro SLA resin — printed one-way valve body and threaded insert | Urinary Catheterization Simulator (Gillis) | The threaded insert and valve body were printed on a Formlabs Form 2 stereolithography printer in Grey Pro resin. The insert is glued into the bottom of the bladder and the valve body screwed into it, sealing against water leakage. Passing a catheter through the valve gives a slight resistance the authors describe as "representative of breaching the internal urethral sphincter on a real patient".[1] |
