STARTING A RESILIENCE HUB
[edit | edit source]What are the tasks/ topics that need to be addressed, recommended order of those topics / tasks? Can we provide a "how-to" manual? What are the most importnat categories for decisions:
Outreach to identify potential participants and partners

[edit | edit source]Organizing and operating options.
[edit | edit source]Options for how to organize and operate a hub: for-profit; non-profit; community-owned and operated; municipally owned and operated; sustainable utility or sustainable energy utility model (something that is NOT a "municipal" or ""public" [government owned] utility, nor a "cooperative" [member-owned' utility company. This tool is ready to be adopted by any local units of government in Michigan. This approach is already tested and working under Michigan law. Subject to checking, it may be viable in many other jurisdictions, several of which have already formed their own legal entities for accomplishing similar goals and objectives for their communities.
