The T Piece is a 3D printed fitting that joins three flexible pipes, suitable for silicone or PVC tubing with an internal diameter of around 4 to 7 mm, measuring approximately 2.9 cm x 5.0 cm x 0.85 cm. It can be scaled to suit other pipe sizes, though the wall thickness becomes quite thin if scaled down (current minimum wall thickness is 1 mm). It has been lab tested but is not currently in active use, and is 3D printed using ABS plastic filament.

Usage Notes

Minimum wall thickness is 1 mm. Where possible, print at an angle to the bed (with two outputs pointing toward the print bed at 45 degrees and the other end pointing upward, as shown in the reference images). This uses more support material but ensures no support is required to form the inner surface.

Manuals

About the manuals

Field Ready develops manuals to support both the fabrication and safe use of its products. A maker manual provides step-by-step instructions for replicating the design, including materials, tools, and assembly guidance, so that makers in different locations can build the product accurately and consistently. A user manual, where applicable, explains how to properly set up, use, and maintain the product once it is built, helping ensure it performs safely and as intended for the end user. Together, these manuals make the design accessible to both fabricators and the people who ultimately rely on the product.
