The Kidney Tray (3D Printed) is a 3D printed tray for medical wards to receive soiled dressings and other medical waste. It is 3D printed using ABS plastic filament.

This device is suitable for use outside the operating theatre only, and should be treated as a single-use, non-autoclavable device.

Usage Notes

Designed to be printed support-free. PRNT3D Natural ABS filament has been found to print with better layer-to-layer adhesion than UP brand ABS on the UP! Box printer, producing a watertight result, though support material is harder to remove. This object has a large flat base, so depending on the printer's capabilities, pre-heating the bed is recommended, or using BuildTak or an equivalent adhesion surface if the bed is unheated.

Manuals

[edit | edit source]
About the manuals

Field Ready develops manuals to support both the fabrication and safe use of its products. A maker manual provides step-by-step instructions for replicating the design, including materials, tools, and assembly guidance, so that makers in different locations can build the product accurately and consistently. A user manual, where applicable, explains how to properly set up, use, and maintain the product once it is built, helping ensure it performs safely and as intended for the end user. Together, these manuals make the design accessible to both fabricators and the people who ultimately rely on the product.
