The 2 inch Tri-Clamp joins flanged pipe in non-pressurized applications, such as those used in chemical or food processing. The model is based on the geometry of a standard clamp from McMaster-Carr, adapted to be more suitable for 3D printing; it has been tested for assembly, which works fine, but has not been tested for joining pressurized pipes. It is 3D printed using ABS plastic filament.

Usage Notes

For light-duty work, only the clamp screw and wingnut need to be printed at 100% infill.

Manuals

[edit | edit source]
About the manuals

Field Ready develops manuals to support both the fabrication and safe use of its products. A maker manual provides step-by-step instructions for replicating the design, including materials, tools, and assembly guidance, so that makers in different locations can build the product accurately and consistently. A user manual, where applicable, explains how to properly set up, use, and maintain the product once it is built, helping ensure it performs safely and as intended for the end user. Together, these manuals make the design accessible to both fabricators and the people who ultimately rely on the product.
