Simple steps to preserving your razor blade so it lasts much longer, saving you lots of money and waste! 1. Clean the razor well with hot water, make sure there are no hairs left stuck between the blades. 2. Always dry the razor well when you've finished using it! 3. Smear a bit of oil on the razor, preferably an oil which is skin-friendly, such as olive oil. 4. Store in a place where the blades won't come in contact with other objects. Little bumps can ruin the blades by slightly breaking them. 5. Sharpen you razor before using it. There are several ways to do this.

one technique is to run the blades on the back of your hand in the counter-direction of shaving, 10-20 times before each shave. Another technique is to run it 10-20 times in the counter-direction of shaving on an old leather belt or a piece of Jeans cloth (you can fix it on a piece of wood to make a little sharpening device). You can view links to videos on how to sharpen your razor on the link below. The article is in Hebrew but the videos are in English.
