Cómo hacer un deshidratador solar con una caja/How to make a solar dehydrator with a box

On this page I explain how to make a solar dehydrator from a single cardboard box (and other materials).

• Big box - In this example it is 50 cm x 40 cm x 40 cm
• Aluminum foil roll - 10 meters should be left over
• Acetate sheet - It must be at least the size of the largest face of the box (in this example, 50 cm x 40 cm)
• Piece of mesh, mosquito net or similar - It must be at least the size of the largest side of the box
• Wooden slats - To build the base

• Scissors - To cut cardboard and acetate
• Cutter - To cut cardboard and acetate
• Rule - To measure and mark cuts and folds
• Pencil - To measure and mark cuts and folds
• Vinyl glue - To glue cardboard and aluminum
• Small container - To dilute the vinyl glue in water
• Old brush - To apply vinyl glue
• Synthetic glue - To stick the acetate to the cardboard (vinyl glue is not useful for this)

• 
  Open the box.
• 
  Cut the box as indicated on the diagram and glue A with A.
• 
  Glue aluminum foil over what will be the base.
• 
  Fold where the diagram indicates.
• 
  Glue to form the base.
• 
  Punch a pencil into the bottom of the base.
• 
  Cut a hole in what will be the lid.
• 
  Fold where the diagram indicates. The folds should be 1 cm outside the natural folds of the box, so that the base enters the lid.
• 
  Glue to form the lid.
• 
  Punch a pencil into one of the long sides of the lid.
• 
  Cut a piece of rack the size of the base or lid.
• 
  Build a wooden structure the size of the grid.
• 
  Glue the grid on the structure.
• 
  Place the structure inside the base and on top of it whatever you want to dehydrate.
• 
  Cover and expose to the sun in an inclined manner.
• 
  If the water condenses too much, tilt it further, or enlarge the holes, or add holes to the lid.
