Saving Appropedia content[edit source]

Hi! In case you're interested, I happen to have a fairly old dump of content (around six months old) that I was using to analyze keywords in R. --Emilio (talk) 17:07, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thank you, but I am looking for ways to create new dumps regularly, rather than for old dumps. This is part of the reliability of Appropedia, and of convincing people (including myself) to contribute. Shapoklyak (talk) 20:11, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I see, and you are right. I will add this as a priority of our site development, for sure. Thanks for your concern on this. --Emilio (talk) 01:29, 21 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Featuring your research[edit source]

Hi User:Shapoklyak! I wanted to drop by to let you know that User:Kathy Nativi has been featuring some of our user pages on Appropedia. If you ever feel like it, we should post any of your pages on social media. Let us know if you'd like that! --Emilio (talk) 20:11, 15 October 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello Emilio. Thank you for your message. I would suggest the pages Air travel in academia (most substantial page I contributed to) and List of low-carbon conferences (because it is timely, and could help people organize virtual conferences). @Shapoklyak Hi! I wanted to show you how we're organizing virtual calls at OpenClimate (you might be interested in it as well. —Emilio (talk) 19:24, 16 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hello Emilio. I have no idea what this is about. Would you have more explanations/links? Shapoklyak (talk) 19:30, 16 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, for sure. This is an initiative by a bunch of people from different organizations. Check this doc at the end of the first page. Emilio (talk) 20:17, 16 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Referencing your work[edit source]

Hi Shapoklyak! I'm writing a guide to assess ICT-related emissions and I'll reference some of your work! I'm also thinking of creating a survey and a map, and I felt you might be interested in hearing about it. I'm also interested in hearing your thoughts! —Emilio (talk) 16:55, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thank you for letting me know! This guide seems comparable to what Labos 1point5 are doing with their tool GES 1point5, although for tech rather than research, and focused on individuals rather than institutions. I hope it helps people pollute less. Shapoklyak (talk) 20:29, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
