Copyright and Categories

Hi Doaa

Great start but you have to be very careful with appropedia -- you can not post anything that is copyrighted -- everything has to be GNU FDL. We might want to meet again briefly to talk about it. Please have a look over what you have done and make the appropriate changes.

Also we will want to set up some categories for your work so they are appropriately organized within appropedia.

Welcome to the Appropedia wiki. Please make yourself at home! If you need a general wiki-tutorial, Wikieducator has some excellent ones.

Check your preferences and be sure you verify your email address and turn on email notification if you'd like it -- you can find out when your talk page, or any page on your watchlist, is modified. You may want to upload a photo or information about yourself to your userpage (which is at http://appropedia.org/User:Doaa).

If you have a particular interest or project in mind, go ahead and start it! You need to make the page that on polymer recycling a category. Then you can put the category tag in the how to recycle plastic page in it -- and it will show us an article in the category.

I did it here - you can make a sub category by

Search for Category:your concept name
Create it
In the text put [[Category:Green chemistry]]

If you click edit in http://www.appropedia.org/Category:Polymer_recycling then you will see how I did it.

deleting pages

You can't delete pages -- you can either wait for an administrator to get around to it, email one, or the quickest option is to use the move tab to move that page to a new page you are going to create.--Joshua 13:20, 11 April 2008 (PDT)
