Marie Farson received her Ph.D. in Ocean Engineering from Scripps Institution of Oceanography. She then worked in industry, developing and operating in manned and unmanned undersea vehicles. She has more than 15 years sea going research experience working with autonomous and unmanned remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) in Panama, Singapore, and India. Additional areas of expertise include project management, acoustic and vibration analyses of undersea structures and magnetic silencing of submarines. Most recently she has taught Earth Sciences and Engineering.

Hi. I am appointed as an Assistant Professor of Earth Science at Principia. I am also an affiliated faculty member in the Engineering Science Department at Principia. I teach Geology and Oceanography in the Earth Science Department as well as Mechanics of Materials, 3D Printing Technology and an Engineering Seminar. Please feel free to drop me a line
