This project aims to design, create, test and evaluate a solar disinfection (SODIS) water purification method which could help provide safe drinking water to those who do not have access to clean water sources.  The end goal is a simple, language-free document which could be distributed to people in third world countries, in a format which is easy to understand, and a design which is simple and easy to manufacture.

The design will be for a single cell of the system.  These cells will be designed to allow for a large or small scale installation, depending on the needs of the specific implementation.

The goal for this project is to design an efficient and effective method for the purification of water affected by microbial organisms using solar distillation, and to present the design in its entirety in a language-free medium which can easily be understood by anybody in need of safe drinking water.

The main goal of this project is to create a language-free document which could be distributed to third world countries and understood by the majority of the population of the earth.

SODIS is a water purification technique which is heavily reliant on a small number of environmental and material factors.  These are outlined below.

It would be hoped that these systems could be created for no money, and built out of scrap material and garbage

SODIS is directly reliant on two environmental factors, heat and sunlight.  SODIS works by killing microbial organisms found in contaminated drinking water by damaging their DNA, causing them to
