*Inland is a company that seems to only sell in kilograms (at least on Amazon). Kilo price is slightly lower than other sellers and the filament can produce very good prints at reduced printing speed: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=inland+pla+1.75&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Ainland+pla+1.75

Flexible filament

  • Great comparison of flexible filaments [1]
  • FormFutura FlexiFil, https://www.formfutura.com/shop/category/flexible-materials-flexifiltm-tpe-163?search=&attrib=3-33, 29.55 Euros (netted $62 after tax and shipping) per 500g, From the manufacturer: "FlexiFil is a rubber-like high-performance and partially bio-based flexible TPC (Thermoplastic Co-Polyester) type of 3D printer filament." Expensive, ships from the Netherlands, and very prone to coming loose during printing. Highly recommend liberal use of glue stick and a first layer that would normally be too low - this has produced the best adhesion so far. Once adhesion is solved, prints very nicely with good dimensional accuracy and well balanced flexibility - stiffer with thicker layers. When using clear/natural with single thick walls, faster cooling = less clouded transparency.

Other commercial filaments

  • bambooFill combines recycled bamboo fibers 20% with premium colorFabb PLA 80% to create natural looking, light-weight 3D printed objects.
  • bronzeFill bronzeFill contains 80% finely ground bronze and 20% premium colorFabb PLA allowing heavy 3D printed objects that can be polished or oxidized to achieve the desired finish.
  • copperFill copperFill contains 80% finely ground copper powder and 20% premium colorFabb PLA, and printed objects have great post-processing potential allowing heavy 3D printed objects that can be polished or oxidized to achieve the desired finish.
  • woodFill combines recycled wood fibers 30% with premium colorFabb PLA 70% to create natural looking, light-weight 3D printed objects.
