Born in Poland and emigrated to US at age of 18. Became US citizen 10 years later. Graduated from Cerritos Community College with Associate in Art degree in Retail Business Management. Worked in many management positions for Albertsons for the past 20 years, ending with Assistant Store Director position before changing direction and coming to Cal Poly Humboldt to pursue interests in Environmental Resources Engineering.
