Abstract[edit | edit source]
This page is intended to be a hub and portal to updates and analysis of the Arcata Water Health. It is intended for anyone interested in the subject. Anyone may add data, summit analysis or provide insight to the issues; however, please keep in mind the concept of community communication. In the end, the hope here is to build a community information resource and to clarify the issue. Incomplete information or ideas need to get stated on occasion, so they can be discussed, corrected and developed.

The Arcta marsh was created by human and continues to be impacted by us.
- Is the Arcata marsh healthy?
- By what standard and within what timeframe is the claim made that the marshes are healthy regardless of the violations?
- Note violations of Copper, Cyanide, Coliform, and BOD5
- Just who's health do we have in mind here (think time-scales)?
- People (present, future, socio-economics class)
- environment (by what standards)
- creatures (frogs, microbes,ghost shrimp, horn snails and their paracites)
- maintaining the interconnected relationships of living processes
