With a BA in Psychology, an MBA, and extensive management experience, I bring a unique blend of academic knowledge and practical expertise. My background includes leading diverse teams, developing strategic initiatives, and driving successful projects across various settings. My goal is to design microgrids and dual micro-hydropower systems that provide clean energy while monitoring water quality—specifically for underrepresented and underserved communities disproportionately affected by limited access to these essential resources. Clean energy and clean water should be universal rights, not privileges. Balancing my academic and professional pursuits with personal growth has reinforced the value of resilience, adaptability, and persistence. Returning to school after overcoming significant challenges has been transformative, strengthening my commitment to creating lasting solutions for the communities that need them most.
One of the most pivotal aspects of my academic journey was working with data using Excel and R. I have analyzed various datasets in different projects, which sharpened my technical skills and my ability to draw insights that could directly impact communities. One such project/case study focused on cleaning and analyzing consumer spending data to identify trends and patterns related to small business owners in India.
In addition to data analysis, my MBA studies introduced me to sustainability frameworks such as the ISSB standards and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). These tools expanded my understanding of how businesses can track and disclose their environmental and social impacts. I am inspired by the role these frameworks play in holding organizations accountable and fostering transparency, particularly for companies operating in communities that have historically been marginalized. This insight has been invaluable in shaping my perspective on how sustainability practices can be integrated into projects like the dual hydropower systems I aim to design, ensuring that they not only provide essential resources but also promote long-term, equitable growth.
