I am starting my 3rd year at Cal Poly Humboldt as a mechanical engineering major. I have always been super interested in making/ designing new things, as most of my hobbies are craft based. I really enjoy making things with recycled or donated materials to prevent overconsumption of unnecessary items. I am currently working on a crocheted blanket made out of old T-shirts that I was able to cut and repurpose as yarn. But, besides crafts I spent a lot of time throughout my childhood going to work with my dad afterschool, where he was always doing different handy jobs from demolition to installing different kinds of flooring and other related construction jobs. So, I would consider myself pretty familiar with a lot of different types of manual work, but, hands on wise I have messed around a lot with different types of wood construction and carving.
