Background[edit | edit source]
Joshua is currently a third year undergraduate at Western University pursuing a dual degree in Electrical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Systems Engineering. He is a current member of the FAST Research group under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Joshua Pearce.
Within the FAST Research group, he is focused on producing 3-D printed light calibration instruments for medical applications. His work is also concerned with the 3-D printed manufacturing of stereoscopic equipment for computer vision applications.
Experience[edit | edit source]
Joshua has interned at London Machinery where he was responsible for the creation of documentation for the Standard London Concrete Mixer. He also worked alongside process engineers to develop, test and deploy strategies to increase line efficiency.
Furthermore, he has spent time working at a local 3-D printing and CNC shop where he was positioned as the lead CNC operator. He designed and manufactured a range of items from broken furniture parts to business signs.
High school accolades include: Top male performer, Bishop Neil Tiedemann Award for Most Outstanding Student, Finalist of the Jamaica Math Olympiad and President of the Engineering Club.
Future Aspirations[edit | edit source]
Joshua is actively seeking opportunities in the fields of modular nuclear reactor design, fusion energy generation, and applications of A.I. in the biomedical domain.
