TissueDB/Materials/Micropipette Tip
Micropipette Tip is a disposable plastic laboratory consumable normally used on manual or electronic pipettes. In medical simulation it is repurposed as a fine-bore terminal delivery connector. In the Cikla et al. 2020 Grapefruit dACA Bypass Simulator, a micropipette tip is used in the fluid-delivery path of the closed-loop irrigation circuit as an optional focal delivery terminal (nasal cannula prongs otherwise suffice).
Used In Simulators
| Simulator | Purpose | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Grapefruit dACA Bypass Simulator | Irrigation connector; not simulated tissue | Standard plastic micropipette tip, US$0.06 per tip (Cikla 2020 Table 2). Fine-bore terminal delivery for focal irrigation if required. |
