It's a noble idea at first but ultimately needs to be stopped, I had high hopes they were going to pour concrete over the whole area before installing things, and that is because of leachate. Playgrounds built on landfills previously started having pools of liquid bubble up, sometimes clear other times orange, but either way is a hazardous/biohazardous mystery. But if it's colored then children will want to interact with it.
The landfill was completely cleared and the concrete was poured over soil! I'm adding a picture to show you some how the ground looked before pouring the concrete. Emilio (talk) 19:17, 29 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
