South Asia usually refers to Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Maldives and the British Indian Ocean Territory. It sometimes is used to include Myanmar (Burma), Afghanistan, and Tibet.
The UN sub-regionW[1] of Southern Asia also includes Iran.
