Hazardous Waste Disposal at Western University
Hazardous Waste Disposal Summary
Dispose of hazardous waste (chemical, biological, radioactive) by following these key steps:
- Packaging & Labeling: Ensure all waste is properly packaged, segregated, and labeled. A completed inventory form is required—unidentified waste will not be accepted.
- Regular Pick-Up: Waste is collected every Thursday morning at designated campus loading docks.
- Special Cases: For unidentified substances, special pickups, or disposal of radioactive materials/X-ray and laser equipment, contact the hazardous waste coordinator at hazardouswaste@uwo.ca (or Anne Marie McCusker at 519-661-2111 ext. 84741).
