Global Villages

Global Villages is a term used by Franz Nahrada to describe local, self-sustaining communities that are nevertheless globally connected and collaborating.

Not to be confused with the term "Global Village" coined by Marshall McLuhan to express the sensation of proximity in an era of mass media and mass communication.
