Why community is important for children?
The more supportive communities children are a part of, the more aware they become of our interconnected world. These integrated relationships lead to more communication between the different areas of the brain which builds a child's ability to self-regulate their emotions, mood, empathy, behavior, and more.
Community plays a crucial role in early childhood education. It involves the connections between children, families, care providers, and local organisations. A strong community provides a supportive and inclusive environment that helps children grow their social-emotional skills and feel a sense of belonging.
