Use a BAR SOAP ROPE to dry out your bar soap between your showers or baths.

It’s easy to make a Bar Soap Rope with some light cord, string or yarn that is about 48 inches or 122 mm long.
A Bar Soap Rope made with a Prusik hitch knot will hold on to your bar soap quite nicely while you are using it. As the soap gets smaller just pull on the hitch a little bit to tighten it up again. If needed, a double wrap through the loop will help the hitch stay snug.
The Prusik knot or the Lark’s Head knot [see picture] can be used to make the Bar Soap Rope.

One way to put a Prusik knot on a bar soap is wrap the loop two [or three] times around before running the ends of the cord through the loop. If needed, a double wrap through the loop will help the hitch stay snug – as noted for the Lark’s Head knot too. Yes, this tie the Prusik a little differently than the classic Prusik.
